Everyone's talking about the weather here.
I went out to run some errands last evening. We were getting a mixture of ice and snow. Streets and roads turned wet. Not slippery, just wet. It was enough to unnerve a lot of people though. I wonder what they'll do when it really snows.
Looks like the roads are out of my play book for a few days. That leaves the trainer or the trails. Tough choice.
No, not really.
So are you adding screws? :)
Yes - weather has really turned here - getting my courage up for some saturday morning mud/ice/trails. should be fun
Just think
Just keep in mind the reward for having gotten out - the exercise, the great views, the warm shower and meal when you get back. It's all worth it.
Not yet...
I have my screwed tires ready and waiting, but I am predicting not needing them this weekend. The weather here sux for just about everything (ice in the air, and on every surface, except the ground...the ground is still soft/sloppy).
I think perhaps any tire would work equally poorly and damage the trails around here...looks like more core training unless it gets a lot colder (fingers crossed).
No such luck
I'm afraid we're not going to be that lucky. The temperatures look like they will hold right at or just above freezing. Very much warmer or cooler would be just fine, but we're not about to get that lucky this weekend.
I've got...
a steady 28 degrees f. right now. There was a high of 32 already, but it's not supposed to warm up at all. Oh, but the freezing raing... pretty much tapered off to a steady drizzle. Not much white left anywhere, but some steady building ice. I'm not sure what to do today. The ground is not frozen, but steadily getting there. I'm planning either a. night ride round 7 or b. another brutal trainer ride. I'm hoping for a.

Praying for snow
I think its great that we're all sort of hoping for snow so we can BIKE.
fanatics
Yes, snow would be great
I'd take snow over this stuff any day. Currently we have rain and thunder with temperature just below freezing. It's cold enough to freeze moisture on body and bike, but not cold enough to freeze the trail or road.
