Waiting by the phone?
It's been almost 2 weeks since my last visit with the doctor, who told me I could ride again in 2 weeks. So I'm thinking I need to get out and ride this weekend even though it's a little early.
Except now there's this thing with Lance.
Why did he have to pick today to say he's forming up a new team and getting in touch with guys about riding on it? Seriously, I have better things to do with my time this weekend than wait around for Lance to call.
Besides, I'm down with Facebook and Twitter (and about a half-dozen others like Linkedin and Plaxo and ...) so if he's ready to get the negotiations started, I'm confident he'll make the first move.
I rushed to the phone
I think it was him, but I got there late and he had already hung up.
I hope you get out for a nice ride this weekend. If absence makes the heart grow fonder, this ride should be pure ecstasy.
No hurry
You don't want to seem too eager or it may weaken your negotiating position.
We talked briefly last night. I don't think it's going to work out between us.
For one thing I'm not all that big a fan of Radio Shack. I had other title sponsors in mind, but you think he'd listen?
Plus we don't see eye-to-eye on the kit mock-ups. OMG do NOT get me started on that.
