My name is Keith Dudding (I aspire to be like my hero, Joe Strummer.) I'm 52 years old, and I live in Edwardsville, Ill., with my wife, Diane, and two cats.
I started running in 2003 -- by accident. Three years and many miles later, I had to stop due to extreme pain in my right knee. It was then I took up cycling.
Four years, two knee operations, and a lot of physical therapy later, I'm still cycling, but I have been able to return to running on a limited basis. In 2009, with encouragement (and a bike) from my friend Craig "Boz" Basler, I took up cyclocross racing.
On March 27, 2010, I completed my first biathalon.
This blog is about my experiences as a cyclist and an accidental biathlete.
