It was a good weekend, and it started on Friday.
Friday I drove out to Perry, Kansas for a ride with Rob. We had a pretty good time. The trail conditions were great. I like rocky trails, and Perry has 'em! I think we rode about 7 miles and it was great.
Saturday I rode the local trails here in Jefferson City. As usual, they were great too. Riding solo in the woods can be fun, but when the temp is 80 and the wind is steady, it is like heaven. It was a fast and fun ride for a bit under 14 miles of single track.
Today I packed the whole crew in the Queen Family Truckster and headed to St. Louis. There we met up with some friends that used to live much closer. A bit later, Peat and I were heading out to pick up 2-old for some rolling at Castlewood park. We rode all the legal trails (some twice) and mourned the loss of Blue Ribbon (hopefully they will open access to it again soon). I don't have a clue of the distance we rode...but it felt about right.
It is not every weekend that I get to ride so many different trails so far apart. I feel truly blessed to be riding so much in such great weather in July.
I hope everyone else got in some good fun riding this weekend!
