Twins and lots of Orange stuff....

Finally started my vacation today (I originally took the entire week off, but I just can not stay away from work). I headed out to the local loop and started a ride.

The weather report was low 90s and high humidity. I swear I saw clouds in the woods. The air was quite thick and breathing was difficult...I think I am getting to be out of shape or something.

The woods were a flutter with life (mostly spiders spinning webs that ended up on my face). I rounded a corner in a densely wooded section of the upper Lakeside section and spooked up twin fawns. Little dog sized spotted deer running along side their mom. She led them away to safety.

In keeping with the title I will tell you about he orange stuff. A few weeks ago 2-old came to town and we found the fungus pictured below. It was pretty and cool, but we only saw this one. Today this stuff was everywhere. Literally thousands of these littered the floor of the woods. Neat stuff.

As a ride report, I can not report much. I did not do anything amazing other than not die. There was one down hill section with a moist curve. The Exis allowed a major drift that I can only be happy to have survived....I must have slid both wheels 15 feet sideways and managed to not crash, but I did dab.

I met up with G-wiz later on at the turn and we finished my loop. He is still in recovery mode...but should be a force in a week or two. I told him to look for my slide marks on that downhill section.

Hope everyone gets in as much riding as I have planned in the next few days.
