Hooked up with the club last night for my weekly punishment. It was a largish group, and some were ready to hammer.

We rolled out on our 35ish mile ride, and not long after the group started splitting like tree in a tornado. By the end there must have been 6 groups...it was mayhem.

Every time we came to a crossroad, there were less and less people behind us...it seems there were a few groups making changes in their plans of how long to ride last night. I think some other people simply made wrong turns.

At the start of the ride a friend rolled up and she introduced me to a guy friend of hers that was in town for the day and wanted a ride. Dave is a Triathlete and wanted to ride fast, so Monica introduced us and tasked me with getting Dave both worn out and back to the start (preferably alive) afterwards.

Dave did just fine, and we all got a good workout. There were even a few efforts at sprint signs...something that doesn't happen as much around here anymore.

It was a great time, and I think everyone had fun. In spite of all the splitting, I think everyone knew where to go, and how to get the most out of their ride last night.
