Last night was a great ride. Needed to do a roll under the lights last night to celebrate what may have been the last ride in shorts and short sleeved jersey at night for the year.
It was 63 degrees as I finished the ride...truly remarkable.
Today I listen to thunder and rain that is supposed to turn cold and freeze, possibly resulting in (up to 10 inches by one report) of snow. At least while I wait, my new tires are heading my way.
Yes, it is true, I am going to pull off the coveted ExiWolf tires in order to try something MUCH meatier (I will post pictures when they come). I am also going to put tubes back in. I know, it sounds crazy, but it is that time of year where things start getting weirder. We start riding in snow, people think we are even more nuts than usual, and having a snow criterium starts to sound like a blast.
We have been tossing the idea of a snow race in the fields at Binder for a few years now...but the snow never shows up....may be this year?
If it happens, it will happen on short notice you can bet, but it ought to be fun.
