I guess I can no longer put off the inevitable. These Nevegals have served me well, but are at the end of their service life.

As you can see they are not worn out. No the knobs are starting to tear from the casing.
This image is not the best (the camera really wants to focus on that frame in the background), but you can see that the side knob is torn off. Perhaps 20% of the knob is still attached. If you were here to see an clear image, you would see that there is a pocket under the knob where fabric (cords) are exposed.
I rarely wear out tires...they tend to break down. Either the sidewalls give away, or knobs tear off. This is a big reason why I check my tires often. Looking at the tread, you might think this tire is ready for an epic, but the exposed cords tell me that it is beyond done. Ever see a tire fail at high speed? It is not pretty.
A little preventative maintenance goes a long way guys!

Re-tire... ah, yeah
Yeah I get it. For a second there I thought you were going to hang it all up and go ride bikes.
Now wouldn't that just be nice?
Is that Stan's Sealant coming out of the lug near the bottom of that picture? Looks like one of those "crystals" to me.
I forgot to tell you... That crystal of Stan's sealant we took out of your tire before? It turned brown and shrank into just so much garbage. I'm telling you, that's some strange stuff.

I may not be fast, but I'm 2 old 2 go slow
No leakage...
No there are no torn lugs or rips anywhere except the side lugs (of which some are tearing from the casing as shown in the picture). There also are no leaks in the tire.
Stan's is some strange stuff if you have not worked with latex before. It dries to a pliable rubbery state quickly, then over time it dries out to a something more like paint. It works well, but can not be left unattended for months at a time.
