Sorry to provide little in the way of entertainment lately. My time has been booked solid lately...no time for anything it seems.

Enough whining though. It is Friday, and while I do have to work tomorrow, I am planning to go out for a ride tonight. Just a little solo stroll around the local trails. I will probably hit up the favorite sections of the local loops...nothing too special.

That said, it is really always special. Not everyone has it as good as I do. I live only 5 minutes by bike from a little over 13 miles of single track. I whine a lot, but really I should be thankful.

I read an article recently (Dirt Rag) about trails near Manhattan, New York. There really are not many, and what does exist, is a decent time investment (drive to and from trails) for only about 3 miles of single track...according to the article I read. So, I am going to try to focus on the good from now on.

I urge you all to do the same. We are lucky (where ever you are) to have trails (any distance away) that you can ride and enjoy without paying for. Sure, your tax dollars may be paying for the trails, but you are really not directly paying for the use of them. Where else can you get that sort of enjoyment for no entry fee?
