Help!!!!

I must have forgotten a dirty jersey in my workout room and something started growing...

This jersey is somewhat special to me so trashing it is not an attractive option. This thing smells bad...I mean really bad...like somewhere between the odor caused by the sippy cup that my son hid behind his dresser half full of what used to be milk, and the odor that comes from the basement of a frat house on Sunday morning.

I tried soaking the jersey in vinegar, then re-washing...that seemed to work for a few days, but the odor has returned....it is like this thing is alive, and growing odor.

Any suggestions?

Soak it

my wife thinks the only way to deal with the stench is to soak it. She has bought the most odor reducing laundry soap she can find. She dials up a long wash cycle but before it's done washing she stops the machine and lets it sit for however long.

Seems to work ok.

Know anyone at a hospital?

Have them run it through a gas sterilizer (not the autoclave). Guaranteed nothing living on that jersey afterward!
