Getting ready...

Well here it is, the day before Independence Day. I am preparing for the festivities. If all goes well, I should get some riding in this week.

Today, I hope to get in some trail riding today (not sure if the trails are dry). Ideally I will also ride tomorrow, and the next day, the next day, and so on. There is even a race on Sunday here in my back yard (Binder Park). I intend to celebrate independence from NOT riding as often as I would like.

Anyone interested in riding or watching a cool MTB race, email redwheelbike@earthlink.net for details. Basically, the race is this Sunday here in Jefferson City and it starts at 11:00...or just call Nick at 573-638-2453 for details. Be there! Rumor has it, some heavy hitters might be showing up!

On top of everything else, I hope to have my "A" wheels back soon. That will make riding even more fun. These "B" wheels of mine are great wheels, but I do not have good tires for them. The right rubber makes all the difference.

I was supposed to help prep the trails for the big race this year (weed eating last night), but security problems here at the shop had to be tended to before I could leave. By then, it was too late. Sorry guys, I owe you all a cold one for the work you surely did without me.

Hope you all get out and celebrate the 4th the best way you know how! Riding a bike is not a bad way to do it in my book.

Your Damn Right!

Some heavy hitters are going to be there, like, um.... ME! Lol just joking, I will have to take the easy route this race as I dont want to jack anything up, again. I did order a 1200 dollar elbow brace that should be here early next week just in time for the Smithville race next sunday. This thing is bad to the bone, and is supposed to make sure I dont hyperextend my elbow when I wipe out, and yes, I wipe out alot. Just what happens when you're pro like me, and youre constantly pushing the limits. ; ) Or you just suck, and dont have any balance.... UNIT> Tonight, tommorow, thursday, saturday. All days I'll be in town and all days I'll be on the trails... let me know, I'll hit the trails around 5 or so tonight....

cool...

You are a heavy hitter! You hit that tree like a sack of hammers the other day! Ha Ha.

No seriously, I am sure you are feared, being a points leader and all. Serious props there, man. Just take it easy on the recovery. You will end up with a race season to be truly proud of!

Admittedly, I was not referring to the local heavys that will surely be there. I was talking about some honest-to-God PROS that might be there. It is just a rumor at this point, but if it happens, it will be really fun to watch and see what lap times these guys can lay down!
