I think that the Local Bike Shops have little to fear on this one...they still list this little gem under "toys" in spite of the asking price.
Support any place you choose....as long as the sales person can explain the benefits and features of what you are buying, and can provide adequate assembly....

I wanted to buy one, but then I discovered that it comes sans pedals...and I can not find pedals for sale...sure, I could go to my LBS, but if I am going to roll Wallie style, I want the complete package!
That sub-18 buck helmet fits like a glove....it is about as warm as one too.
