I don't mean to make fun of anyone here...well, I guess I do sort of.

My wife leaned over to me last night and told me that she thinks that IF I had been invited to this years Tour, I could have been a high finisher. She is not really all that out of her mind in her thinking.

Sure, I would not be a contender for the podium, but I think finishing in the top half of the starters is becoming a real possibility...since the number of starters getting kicked out is rising by the minute....What are we up to now, 4 teams have hit the bricks? Anyone find it ironic that the name of the bike model in that picture is called the "addict"?

Making the time cuts would be tough for a guy like me...I am not that fast. But I think the idea that I stand a chance to beat nearly every one of my previous heroes would keep me motivated to keep on pedaling.

While I try to stay clean and avoid banned substances in my every day life, I am sure that I would eventually be yanked from the Tour on one of the last days, because of some trace concentration of small-batch Tequila in my system...Oh well, it is fun to dream.
