Calling G-wiz

Dude, you call me out to the trails to show me this and you still have not posted it up to tell the world?

I have posted it elsewhere too. Several people in the know seem to think that it is definately a defect and you probably have little chance of having this happen again....

So post up and tell us exactly how it happened.

JRAMMOB

I talked to him and he said that he was crossing a little dip (it is nothing impressive I can attest) and he heard a pop like a rick flew up and hit the frame. Figuring that it was a rock, he continued for several miles when a second pop resulted in what you see here and a springy feeling. This happened at the farthest possible point from the car....go figure.

Sorry Man

Alright, first let me say that I am posting from my home computer and I dont have the damn password for my blog so I'm just gonna leave a long reply. If you would have made the password alittle easier maybe I wouldnt have this problem. Just kidding but really its a combination of like 9 numbers and letters all in different cases, is that really easy to remember? So yesterday I skipped out of work real early and hit the trails around 2:30 or so. Got through the main loop, rainbow, and thats when it started. Right when I enter Lakeside, there is a small creek crossing, and I heard a loud pop. I figured I had just thrown up a rock at the frame. I procedded to ride the not lake side side first and then come back on the lake side. Well I got to the very end and I heard another loud snap. Now take note I didnt notice much difference in the bike the whole way on lakeside. I assume the first pop was a small crack. And the second, well it was the deadly blow that totatly did the seperation you see up top. Thats right, two months old and my new Jamis Exile 29'r is dead. Luckily they have a lifetime warranty on their frames so I'll be getting a new one but for now I'll have to ride the hardrock. Which has a shitty front supension I now hate to ride, and a headseat that NEVER stays tight. That's why I bought this new bike. Oh well, shit happens but for now I'll just continue riding on.

go to your account settings and change it. Your password can be changed easily if you like.

Just go to "my account" and click on the "edit" tab. type your desired password and then confirm it. You must log in with your existing password first of course. I suggest using something really simple so that everyone can hack your account and make you look silly (that is a joke...use a solid password...seriously!)

That truly does suck that your frame is busted. Definitely a strange looking failure. I have seen a few, but none like that one. At least you got some good riding in on an awesome day before it happened.

You managed to break a brand spankin' new Jamis Exile 29er in less than two months of riding? I'm interested to hear what you're going to get now. Something made of steel I-beams maybe...
