"The Steps" on the Chubb Trail

These are the famed "Steps" of the Chubb Trail in west St. Louis County. The Chubb Trail offers skilled off-road cyclists seven miles of out-and-back challenges such as this. The Steps are a natural outcropping of Kimmswick Limestone, which underlies much of the Chubb Trail and gives the trail it's reputation as one tough ride.
