And to think, most lucky fans only get the occasional musette or water bottle.

If you happen to be around when David Millar has a mechanical you just might score a complete bike. You'll have to add a new chain, of course.

I took advantage of a rare day - sunny and warm - yesterday to catch up on yard work and to get in a quick ride. While I was out riding (You really don't want to hear about the yard work, do you?) I ran into a guy, Bert, from the ICCC team, whose conversation helped the time go by. Five tough climbs come and gone in a flash.

Looks like more rain today. Good thing I'm planning to take it easy, relatively speaking. 50 or 60 TSS is a walk in the park on the trainer.

Fast doesn't begin to describe how these guys ride.

The team had a Fan Zone on the corner of Delmar and Devaliviere. On the first lap I set up on the curb just past the corner and aimed my camera back to the corner where I could catch the riders going by.

The amazing thing, to me anyway, is they did this seven times and never once appeared to slow down or get tired. They didn't really even look like they were breathing hard.

I don't mean to make fun of anyone here...well, I guess I do sort of.

My wife leaned over to me last night and told me that she thinks that IF I had been invited to this years Tour, I could have been a high finisher. She is not really all that out of her mind in her thinking.

Shake down

I decided to perform a final test and tune on the KM prior to the race tomorrow.

First of all, I got my tubeless wheels back on Thursday, and not a moment too soon. When I checked my tubed wheels after removal from my bike, the front tire was completely flat. Flats are such a downer...even when they happen on wheels you are taking off.

So I went out the the race loop and met up with G-wiz. He was testing out his new bike (a demo Dakota from Jamis). Apparently, he lucked into a demo bike to use while they produce a new frame for him that is hopefully stronger than his Exile was.
