Some Tasty Trail

Ha ha ha, I defy nature once again before she spouts more wet crap upon our tails. It really has seemed like you have to be really lucky to be able to ride trails this year. There have been periods of one or two days here and there in which riding can be had, and I've been having it at much as possible. Here's some pics... I scoped out a new little slickrock section out at Cave Hollow. It's a super steep, 10 foot drop in which you can roll. It's got a sketchy tranny at the bottom, with a root that will swallow you whole and spit you out into the trees. The monkey dominated... The other pics are of a certain downhill, or uphill whichever way your going, out at Blue River. I got to go ride out there last night, a bit muddy in places but overall the trail was great.

Nice!

Every one of those shots makes me want to go there right now and attempt to climb cleanly. They look quite challenging!

The rock in the first images might be impossible to climb (it is tough to tell from the photo).

Nice grips! When did you get the Thomson stem?

Do it

I've been waiting... There is def. no way of climbing the rock in the first two pics, its uber steep and is comprised of slick sand rock... I barely was able to climb up it the other day. There are some pretty steep climbs out at Cave that are technical and fun though. I almost cleaned the hill in the last pics, but my tires did shit for gripping last night. They filled with mud, and never really cleared. It can be done though, but it would take some serious skills.

The grips rock, blue grip tape. The Thomson stem is about 2 months old now. I decided it would go well with the Thomson seatpost. Ne ways, lets get a weekend sometime in May, and lets do some serious riding. We can hit up to 4 trails in a weekend, granted your up for two a days!

Not sure how to interpret this.

Seriously though, we should plan a weekend for riding and hit up some cool stuff like this. I miss having my butt handed to me by some tough trails.

Elaboration

I meant that there is no way to climb the rock while riding. In order to take the second picture I had to climb down it and take the picture, and then try to climb up it with my mtb. shoes on. It's not really important, basically you wont make it up this on a bike...
