Shoveling white

Oh the pain. The suffering. And it's not even noon yet. Nor have I even gotten on my bike yet. I think we got about a foot of snow in the last 24 hours. I just spent a good part of the morning shoveling it off the drive and walkways. How many TSS points per hour can I claim for snow shoveling?

There's no question this one's going down in my training log as a core strength workout. G-wiz rode white. I shoveled white.

Remember the video I linked to the other day? The Cyclocross race video from this weekend's race in Kansas City? Well here is the first part of that lap. It's a lot less lonely looking. The video starts just after the start of the race and continues through to about where the second one starts, so I'm told.

That is insane...

In the first few seconds...it looks like he is in reverse, getting passed right and left...only later he starts passing scads of riders. What position did he roll out in...about 150th?

Looks like a good course for disc brakes too.

We did not get as much snow here...may be about 4 inches? The trails are probably out due to fallen branches. I may ride the rollers again today....I don't want to go too hard as my throat is still a bit sore. I have been surrounded by illness for weeks...

Somewhere in the middle

I think he was somewhere near the middle of a 170 rider lineup.

that video is very cool - but wow would it be dangerous to do that course near me (terrible bike handler)

I am going to stick to riding on beautiful deserted roads - safer for everyone
