It's a winter wonderland out, now two weekends in a row. Luckily this is the powder type, not the slick ice and sleet alot of us got last weekend. I got to ride up at Landahl last Sunday, right after the storm. It was an awesome ride, the ground was covered in sleet, and it made for a good excersise.
Today we hab about 4 inches of snow when we left to go ride. There was three of us, and we had no agenda other than going out and having a good time. The snow was alot funner to ride in then the sleet last weekend. It was great powder, not to much, but just enough. The only problems we had were the remaining ice from last week would put you on your butt once in a while. I wish I had my freaking usb cable for my phone, I've misplaced it, and I have some good pics from the past few rides. Maybe I'll find it later to post up.
So what was good with the rest of you today? Anyone get out and ride? Two old looks like he put it down on the trainer, something I've known all to well lately. I did also manage to make it out yesterday for a one hour session on the road. It was cold, as the clouds had moved in right before the ride.
Hope you all get to get out and ride tommorow. Should be good. Me, looks like a trainer will be my best bet. It's been a long week of riding, and I've got one more session on the trainer before a nice rest and recov week. Then it's Christmas, I'll have a few days off, and maybe a ride to somewhere exotic. Maybe Arkansas, or deep in Kansas, at a place called Manhatten. I've heard there's a pretty nice trail system out there. But then again I'm at the becon of mother nature, she's been pretty nasty as of late. The warm weather and sunny skies can come anytime they want, I've had enough white for a while.
nice, I love snow riding (not ice!)
From mid week: Had to carry bike for a while :)
