Riding for Fun

Boz's picture

This week has included a lot of activities and a quite a bit of riding. While I'm a match for no one, my plans to ride and have fun continue to blossom. I'm feeling better on the bike and getting more comfortable with who I am and what I represent. Yep, I've got the body of a 45 year old husband and father, the legs of a part-time cycling enthusiast, and the mind of someone who knows who they should be in life. What's not to like?

My shoulder pain continues to be bothersome enough that I returned to the ortho surgeon's office for a cortisone shot and another exam. He really thinks we're delaying the inevitable surgery, but being a cyclist himself, he appreciates my desire to keep pedaling during the season. We'll continue to re-evaluate and try to avoid the knife.

All in all, life is good and I'm happy with my life and all of God's many blessings. I hope the same for all of you.

I am sure you realize that more now than ever. Your words echo the sounds of someone in control (not someone being controlled).

I think you are wrong about being a match for no one though. You family probably thinks you are a better match than ever!

I am dealing with some shoulder pain myself, but I think I just can have not yet succeeded in identifying what stupid thing I am doing to aggravate it. I am learning that I do a lot of stupid things. I am trying to eliminate some (falling down stairs and breaking toes is a recent example).
