No helmet!
That is a special breed. I used to be on a mailing group of individuals that built odd contraptions like that...wish I could find the photos.
There was a guy that built one that was so tall it could not go under overpasses (bridges). He would climb up the bike like a ladder while it was leaned against a telephone pole to get started...not sure how he got off the thing.
