With the forecast of rain all week, it looks like I will be spending a fair bit of my training time under a cover of some sort.
Last night I rode in the garage with the door open so I could face the weather outside as I spun the cranks (on rollers). I did have the headphones on, but I listened to a spoken word podcast...and the sounds of nature outside.
I was staring at the roof of my neighbors house while wind was blowing the rain so hard it carried "clouds" of mist upwards off the roof line. The lightening danced all around my periphery and I shook to the core as the thunder rolled. I recall in my teen years going to car stereo competitions (with a friend who had an impressive system in his car) and nothing at any of those competitions would have even been audible in the presence of this storm. Nature is truly impressive!
I was spinning away just inside the garage staying dry (for the most part) since the wind rarely carried the rain in the direction of the open door. Nothing too impressive to report...just some much needed recovery at very low wattage inside during a symphony of ultimate power outside!
