Plain old training

SRM powermeter chartAnother one of those days at the office. I just didn't have anything going in the motivation department by the time I called it quits today.

The weather sure was cooperating though. We've had it good here lately. Of course all that good weather helps the lawn grow too, so between so much office BS and the need to spend some quality time pushing a lawn mower I barely had time and energy for a quick spin on the trainer.

That's OK though. Any time spent riding is good time. Even if the time is only spent looking into a fan.

Hey, how about that Vino business, eh? I swear, by the time they get the last of the dopers out of cycling my puny wattages are going to start looking pretty respectable. But if you think about it, that's probably just another way of saying my wattages will always be puny. Just maybe not so much for a (non-doper) guy my age.

Props to Unit for the video recommendation.

Twisting off crank arms...

The all-drug Tour....I can see it now. Sub-30 minute 40K ITTs, and sprints in excess of 150KPH. I think there really are a lot of people that would want this.

Awesome spectacle

Think of the awesome spectacle "unlimited" bicycle racing could be:

Doped up riders bolt off the starting line at 35mph on the 200 mile 35th stage of the Dianabol Tour of Las Vegas, the acceleration straining the limits of their 3 pound bikes. They're followed by a phalanx of team cars carrying not only spare bikes and mechanics, but also team doctors ready to administer whatever on-the-road medications might be needed to assure victory, a fat paycheck, and glory for the team sponsor.

ehhh...

On second thought, I would rather just watch professional wrestlers race nitro-burning motorcycles.
