Sorry that could be a bad headline, but you know what I've had that kind of day.

On a good note, I got to talk with Nick S. It's been awhile, and I look forward to tommorows ride with them.

So here's the deal. Jamis finally realized they made a pos bike, and they've decided to stop sending out new frames. HOW CONVENIENT... so now I have to wait till August to get a new frame, this one with a gusset at the headtube. Hum???? I would think they would have actually tested this bike more than one ride to know this was needed. So now I'm out my awesome race bike that I have just become in zen with. I'm pissed now.

They are doing at least something to make up for it though. They're sending me a brand new Jamis Dakota 29r to demo till I get the new frame. Check out the specs at jamisbikes.com. It's okay I guess, has a RockShox Tora fork, a def. downgrade from the White Bros. It's geared a 3x9 and it has mediorcre parts. They sent it off today at least.

But man, what the hell would have to happen. Not only am I just getting back to the trails but now I have to ride a totally new bike, that's not steel I must add, and I have to do it right before a race. This sucks, not to mention I had a guy totally piss me off this afternoon by kicking me out of his business when I didn't even have time to properly introduce myself. Combine all this and I've had a shitty day.

Props to Nick for being on the ball and being so helpful. I need to get back to doing business with this guy on occasion. So there it is, I'm on a new stead for two more months, and I'm already missing my baby. Note: Unit, I'd so go with a badger, but not all of us have the loot you do ; ) Must be nice.

I guess one thing good about all this is I'll have time to send of the White Bro to get serviced, and I'll have to wait even longer to put on some new parts... I have a thompson seatpost waiting, a awesome gold acros headset, and a new titec pluto seat coming. The new 08 is gonna be nice when it all said and done, I just hope they hurrry up!

Be Thrilled!

I could tell you some stories....

Red Wheel and Jamis are taking really good care of you...it could be MUCH worse...trust me.

Be sure to tell us all about your demo on that new bike!

I agree, but

I agree. They're taking good care of you. I also think you should start thinking about a brand / model that'll stand up to your riding style better. You're big and strong and your riding style reflects it. You might be among the marginal percentage of riders out there who can push the design limits of that particular frame.

Yes Agreed

I obviously wasn't made for this perticular frame but like I said before, this problem should have been taken care of in the initial phase of the testing. Maybe they just need more riders like me testing there stuff ; ) I'll be sure to mention it to them, lol. But I can say that it's not just me on this one, Andy down in Jeff has also broke one of these frames and he's has a bit more reserved riding style compared to mine. I really would like a better bike but this one is already paid for and I dont have the money right now for a new one. Hopefully the new re-designed 08 frame will be a bit better.

I am going to look for a new bike this fall/winter. It's going to be another SS 29r, so yes Unit, badger could be the one. I've also got my eyes on the new on-one inbred. Sweet rig, and this year they're putting a carbon ridgid fork on it. NE ways thats a bit down the road, I just need to get used to this new one as soon as possible so I can start tearing it up at the races again...

G, Did you see this?
