I just received notification.....

There are 3 events this year, the tour, the race, and a longer race! That is right friends, you can do an 80 mile race if you like...but it sounds like a tough one.

Below is the email I received:

60-Mile Tour:
April 5, 2008. Start 8:00 am. There are 200 spots available. The tour
course will reverse directions this year. Riders will go on the Ouachita
trail first then over to the Womble trail. Check out the web site for cut
off time and aid station locations as well as course maps (Updated Soon).

60-Mile Race:
April 6, 2008. Start 8:00 am. There are 200 spots available. The race
will also reverse directions this year. Riders will go on the Womble
trail first then the Ouachita trail. Check out the web site for cut off
times and aid station locations as well as course maps (Updated Soon).

80-Mile Race:
April 6, 2008. Start 7:45 am. There are 100 spots available. This will
be for the Experienced Riders who have done other endurance events like
24hr, 12hr solo or 100-mile races or are capable of doing these events.
It will run the full length of the Womble trail to where it meets the
Ouachita trail. Please keep in mind the 80-mile event will NOT be easy.
Keep an eye on the web site for the cut off times these will be strictly
enforced (Updated Soon). If you don’t think you can maintain the pace
sign up for the 60 mile.
Other info:
We are not going to charge for the extra meal tickets this year but we do
ask that you check extra meals box when you register if you need
additional meal tickets for family members. We need to know how many
meals to provide. There will be breakfast on Saturday and Sunday morning
and Dinner on Saturday evening. We will also have extra T-Shirts for
sale.
The Oden School has offered the school Gym for a place to stay if you do
not have motel reservations or other accommodations. The gym will be open
on Friday and Saturday evening and close around 7 am Saturday and Sunday
mornings. Also the gym will be open for showers after each event. These
will be on a donation basis that goes directly to the school athletic
fund. (Go Timberwolves!!!)
Remember this event is held in a “dry county” (no alcohol sales). Also
the Oden School is a drug free environment. Please respect these rules.
