It was a little warmer so I rode up the mountain behind my house, partly on quiet roads, partly on trails. Amazing views of the Alps from up top. This photo is at maybe 4300 feet, I live at 2,000 feet directly below to the left. FREEZING descent.
No, not really, but honestly, I SOOOOO wish I had that opportunity out my back door. Not many XC pros come from the Midwest, and there's a reason... THERES NO MOUNTIANS. How long did it take you to climb that 2300 or so feet up?
I get the impression you descend slow relative to guys that descend mountains every day. I bet you would smoke us pretty good with your "slow descending".

The loop has a little over 3,000 feet of climb. The whole thing usually takes me a couple of hours .... so 90 minutes for you guys :)
Although I stop for photos and descend like my grandma.
