Sorry Chris. I know, I know. I said I was taking this one for your blog but when I got it home and found it was about the only decent one I took all day I had to hog it for myself.

Go ahead and steal it if you want to. You deserve it, because I sort of promised it to you. BTW, you looked good out there today. And your bike too... Very nice.

Cat 3 starting field at the MO State Criterium Championships

If I could aim my camera worth a damn, you all might be able to see a little more how nice it is.

I did manage to catch a bit of the Cat 4/5 race. If memory serves, 88 rolled up to the line for the start. Not all of the 88 finished. Mid-race, when this was taken, the pack had spread out quite a bit. Later in the race I saw the officials pulling quite a few who had fallen off the back, unable to keep up.

Thanks I like plastic bikes! That was the fastest race I've ever been in, most of the time I was trying not to get droped. Maybe thats why I have a stupid look on my face?

You have a great strategy for not getting dropped: Get out there in front and whip up the pace. Don't be telling me you weren't either. I saw you out there puttin' the hurt on the field.
