Holy cow! I am further realizing how stupid yesterday was.

I brought my bike in along with my shoes (which are still wet) to do some maintenance. I figured after the rain, it would be a pretty good idea.

The chain is covered with surface rust, but that was to be expected. That rain certainly would wash off all the lube and leave behind some "bloom". No big deal, I was due to rotate my chains anyway.

The surprise came when I was pulling one chain on and the other off. As the rear wheel spun I could hear what sounded like a big fish in about 2 inches of water.

I have some work to do!
