I got up a little early this morning so I could get in a ride on the trainer. Maybe it was the cooler temperature or just that I was fresh, but tapping out 40 minutes wasn't so bad.
Now bear in mind I did that 40 minutes at a snail's pace, even for me, a guy with a CTL in the low single digits.
You know, I should check that. I don't know what my CTL even is right now. It might even be less than 1.
Who cares?
You are on your bike!
Enjoy the spin and keep the focus on building up the ancillary muscles (and the chamois region).
True dat!
I'll echo what Unit said: you're on a bike. That is the only thing that matters. Best wishes as you seek to regain what you had. I'm sure it will be a long, sometimes maddeningly slow process. I'm going through my version of it right now (knee surgery 11 months ago). But each pedal strokes brings you that much closer to goal. Good luck.

Like you read my mind. I just wrote today's post about my workout earlier. It echos exactly what you wrote here.
