
I don't know what made me think of doing this, but I wore my HRM strap today. Mostly I guess it was just out of curiosity. I was curious to see whether my new SRM PCV was any better at picking up my heart rate signal and what my heart rate would look like if it did. As it turns out both the PCV and my heart seemed to work fine. Kind of cool to see that I am indeed pushing the old ticker some here and there. I topped out at almost 180 on Doberman hill.
More curiousness - I wonder what my Max HR is now?
Best way I know to find out - I'll have to wear it on a trail ride one of these days. Either a killer climb like Lone Wolf or just about any white-knuckle descent ought to do it.
Or maybe I could just set up a ramp out front. A couple of sweet jumps should get my heart rate maxed out.

Max HR
My max HR is around 186. If you keep track of it for a while, you will get a pretty good idea.
