Ice be damned. Seems like these ice storms are getting to be a regular thing. We had a killer ice storm last year. It took out power for a couple of days. Unit's goe one now. I just checked the weather. We're supposed to get it later tonight and tomorrow.

Unlike Will, the weather Gods didn't smile on my little corner of the world today. The clouds didn't part. We never saw the sun. Ice and rain. That's it. Needless to say, no riding today. At least not on the trails anyway. A hardy fellow I know had proposed to ride this morning, 70 miles on the road. No word yet on whether he went through with that plan.

No way I was going. Between the weather and the way I felt this morning I wasn't sure I'd even climb on the trainer. I did end up getting on though. Shortly after lunch the motivation came on.

And unlike the weather gods, the cycling gods were smiling on me today. I don't know what it is, but it always seems like the good days try to fake you out by starting out looking like bad days.
