Good days and better days

You know, any day on a bike is a good day. So by any standard today was a good one.

The fact is. I can't remember a better day in recent memory. Certainly none better from a cycling standpoint this year.

Boz connected with me early this morning about riding. As it turns out we both had plans for the Tour of Missouri later in the morning, so getting together for a quick ~2 hour ride fit perfectly for both of us.

He dragged me around up and down all the best climbs around here for those two hours. I'm pretty sure he got the best out of me too. I was feeling pretty well smoked by the time we rolled home.

Next it was time to head downtown for the end of the Gateway Cup, a team photo, and the first stage of the Tour of Missouri.

I didn't get home until late afternoon, a full day's bicycling under my belt. Like I said, there are good days and there are better days. In reality, this was one of the best.

Couldn't get much better than yesterday. A wonderful ride, nice place to watch the race, and a terrific finish! I'm hoping to do much of the same again on Friday.
