So the weather has been down right cold and the ice has yet to melt on most of these trails. Yesterday after work I took the Jamis to do a few laps at Bothwell. This is a relatively flat 3 mile loop with a few little tech spots. The whole trail was ice and snow but luckily it was the type you could actually ride on. I did slide out a few times but it was on glass smooth ice.
Then today I went to binder with the Rockhard. It took about an hour due to bs but we got the bike put back together and I went to ride around 2. I only got about 6 miles in by riding one side of the main loop and watersedge. Not that it wasnt nice outside or wasnt fun but the ice pretty muched sucked on the hills. Not to mention the trail was pretty soft.
The trail day got cancelled for tommorow. I dont know what I'm going to do. Probably do a road ride to be honest. The warm weather should mean a great ride. The trail will be to soft in the 45 degree heat wave we've got coming. I'm excited to get back on the road again. Bets the trainer for sure...
