One week from tonight, this will be the evening before the race. It will also be a rest day, one on which I will do nothing more strenuous than walking around. I'm looking forward to it.

Or rather, I ain't nowhere. The only riding I've done this year has been on the stationary bike at the Y. Thanks goodness the football playoffs are finally here. Mind you, I can always find something worth watching while I ride, but nothing helps the minutes tick by quite like a good NFL playoff game.

I wish I were outside biking right now. In the interest of full disclosure, I am inside, seated at the computer (obviously) with a cat on my lap as I watch "Jeopardy." Outside the sun shines bright, making it appear warmer than the 30 degrees the computer tells me is the current temperature.
