So riding lately has pretty much been contained to two types, boring ass trainer rides, and colder than hell road rides. I sick of both, and I was finally glad the cards played out for a ride up in KC today.
The trail was comprised off all compacted snow. It was great riding, fast, and pretty. Here's a pic of a very sketchy river crossing. Not going to lie, a few times I got a bit worried hearing ice crack. But it was the only way I could get to the good stuff...
I put the White Bros fork on the Surly. Looks like the Monkey will be my race bike... Long story but that's whats up. So I put the fork on now, and later I'll put the back gears on.
A great ride overall. Towards the end I joined with a Semi Pro racer named Chad for the Trek team. It was super cool riding with him, and hearing about the life of Semi Pro and Pro riders. I turned in about 2 and a half hours today, and it was well needed.
Nice shot
I like the shot of the bike on the ice, G. Mind if I use it on the site? I'm working on some changes and I think this image might look good as part of the new look.
Of course
Yup, feel free. You can find it on flickr under g-wiz if you need to.
Great Photos
Nice post, sounds like a great ride.
