Fast, fun, short and sweet

It was a rather uneventful weekend in terms of bicycling for me. I managed to get out and enjoy a ride though.

It is hard to not get excited about a nice descent, and honestly, there was not much exciting to talk about regarding my ride...other than the pure enjoyment that comes from any ride.

That guardrail looked really close! I'm hoping that was just the camera's eye and not actually the exact position of you.

Yeah well

I stuck the camera out there a bit but my arm is only so long. I wanted to get kinda close to give a taste of the thrill found on a bike plunging down a hill (open road looses a lot of the sensation of speed on video). Unfortunately I still failed to convey all but a small fraction of the thrill/fun that only cyclists know.

That looked like a fun

Always!

I have not found too many descents that are not fun. Some are better than others though.

This particular hill offers some nice views when you are going the other way (at a much slower pace). There are a couple eagles that have a nest that is visible from the road, and the lay of the land is pretty neat too. It is one of my favorite places around here to ride.

Transport

As a mode of transportation, the bicycle is a remarkably simple and satisfying machine. In fact, bicycling is so addictively pleasant that it is synonymous with fun, exercise, and good times.
