
I've got "Down in a Hole" from Alice in Chains playing in my head today. I don't know where that came from but it's there. I'm sure I haven't heard that song in months.
It does fit my situation though. In the last three days I've piled on over 400 TSS and driven TSB down by almost 20 points. The elastic has been stretched. I have applied a training stimulus. When I recover from it I will be ever so slightly stronger than I was before.
Today's workout plan will allow me to recover a little bit, but not enough to be anywhere near fresh for the Wednesday night TT series tomorrow. The TT itself is something of a recovery event. Last week's session amounted to only a little over 75 TSS. The weather looks dicey here today. I'll most likely start off with a session on my trainer and then move to the rollers for some easy spinning.
