Cross/core training

Wow it is cold out there!

I have moved most of my training inside lately. I try to make a point of riding outside once a week to keep my edge and hopefully stay "able" to ride in the cold. It is my belief that if you do not ride into the cold you will not be able to ride in the cold at all (you have to acclimate your body somewhat). Anyway, I am *trying* to do that...

That leaves me doing a lot of training indoors...if you assume that the other 6 days of the week I am actually training. Truth is, I have been, but not on a bike most of the time. I have been going to wrestling practice with my son and doing exercises with him. If you want to get a solid core, I recommend training with wrestlers...you will be sore in places you did not know you had!

I know this place is called TwoWheelBlogs, but truth is I have not been on two wheel all that much lately. I like to think that what I am doing will help me attach some strength to this core a little more easily when I do start my more intense training on the bike.

As the holidays approach, remember your core. The idea this time of year is to train it stronger...not bigger!
