Performance Bike coupon

I'm just getting around to looking at yesterday's mail. Turns out I got something good in the mail yesterday for a change, something that's not a bill or just plain old junk. Performance Bike sent me a postcard with a coupon code good for $20 off my next order. The only catch is the order has to be for $50 or more and on in-stock items only.

Doing a little math... At $50 my discount works out to 40%. For a $100 order my discount comes in at 20%. Not bad, particularly if I combine with something that's already on sale.

The coupon is good until 4-Dec-06.

Am I sharing? C'mon, would you expect any less of me? The code is 6001727

Just a quick head up post for anyone out there who is considering a lights purchase.

I got an email from Nashbar this morning with a coupon code good until this Sunday. It said it was good for lights so I figured it would be just their low end sets. I checked their HID stuff. The light I priced out was the Light & Motion ARC Li-ion Headlamp Set. That's the good one with the light battery. It was listed at $499 but on 'sale' at $399 (20% off)

I figured just for grins I'd see if the coupon would work for this item. I didn't expect it would because these lights are around $400 anyway right now. Maybe cheaper on ebay, but you gotta know your seller right?

The image is a screen cap of my checkout amount. Yep, they granted the 20% coupon on top of their sale price. You can pick up a sweet L&M HID setup for just under $331 delivered.

Seems like a good deal if you're inclined to come out at night to play.

Here's a rather lengthy but very interesting NY Times article about Floyd Landis. It's seven pages about Floyd's training, his hip problems and his history as a pro bike rider. I get the impression Floyd's the guy we're all going to get to know a lot better from now.

Dave has worked up a nice post on his experiences as a beta tester of Andy Coggan's Training Manager. Check back here soon. I think it's about time this beta tester did the same thing.

These sales are always a mixed bag. Sometimes you'll find stuff you want, but more than not it's like rummaging through the left-overs bin - nothing's the right size or it's a ridiculous color. Hey, if shopping's your thing... I'd rather ride.

  • Nashbar coupon - It's only good today (and yesterday) but you get 20% off if you spend more than $100
  • Performance just added a bunch of stuff to their big sale (now until the 17th) W00t!
