Cliffhanger

Now that's more like it. I wasn't exactly getting discouraged with all the aero testing I've been doing, but I was starting to wonder whether I would ever experience the thrill of seeing an appreciable change (for the better, of course) in aerodynamic drag as a result some change I made.

Yesterday's testing wasn't the most productive session I've ever conducted and the data I got weren't the best in terms of how well it hangs together but the results are encouraging all the same.

I was pleasantly surprised to see a difference this big from a minor change in position. This one little change represents a savings of about 12 Watts. Applied to forward motion, that's nearly a minute in a 40 km TT.

The days are getting shorter and cooler. Yesterday was probably about the last decent opportunity for aero testing this season. What a cruel turn of events. I get a glimpse of what might be just as the opportunities to test vanish for the winter. A real-life "To Be Continued..."
