Golden Cheetah FOSS Power Software

Golden Cheetah is a Free/Open Source (FOSS) power training software application. Wow, this is great and they are already far enough along to provide some usability it seems. Check out screen shots. I have been dreaming of something like this for some time. Unfortunately my C skills are pretty weak right now so I don't think I can help directly. But mucho ataboys for these guys attempting to do this.

Did you get a PM?
I thought you were still looking into either a PT or Ergomo.
That SW looks promising, but I wonder if it will get legs. Cycling Peaks has been around a while and is quickly becoming the "Kleen-ex" of PM-ware.
How much snow did you guys get?...it looks like it stopped at about 2.5-3 inches here.
Changed Plans
I put off getting a new PM for a while. Building the slot car track is taking priority. I did give Saris a call about my current PT. I discovered that I can buy a Pro head and it will work with my hub. I might do that at some point this year but not sure yet. Getting the tools and stuff for the slot car track is taking priority right now.
The main thing about the software is it's not commercial. So that's a whole different ball game. They don't have to worry about profit. It's just a matter of how many people will decide to help write it. As far as I know AC's algorithms are available although the actual terms (like NP, TSS, etc...) are copyrighted. So I suppose they could use the algorithms and give it different names. That's actually what I thought of doing (I have a small program I was messing around with but not nearly as far as they have gotten).
It's still snowing right now. I hope I can make it home in one piece!

Software like this is rocks. No I have not tried it but u can bet I will. I wish I knew how to code in c 'cuz if I did I'd be pitchin' in.
