Back to Crit Racing

The heat was pretty brutal tonight. I felt a little bogged down and without much zip. Even though I stayed near the back for the whole race, I still didn't have much left at the end. Perhaps I reached a little peek in Carbondale and I should start building back up again. Hard to tell without a training manager I suppose.

Suffering in the heat

Yeah I'd say the head had some effect. Avg HR was 167? Ouch.

NP=246 and AP=190. How high was your peak 5 second wattage? 450-500? As hot as it was out there it wouldn't take many of those to see some serious popping going on.

Peak 10s 629
Peak 20s 567

Off the back

I would be off the back in nothing flat. Those numbers are way bigger than I can do. Maybe someday but I'm just starting out and have a long way to go.
