Man! I'll tell you what...if you want to get out of the Christmas Spirit before it even starts, work retail on Black Friday!
People are acting like cavemen foraging for life-giving sustenance during times of famine. It is great for retail businesses I suppose, but what sort of magic do these items possess? And are they going to be extinct tomorrow?
Rest assured, if I did not have to be at work today, I would not be wasting my time fighting for a few dollars "savings" on trinkets that my kids will break moments after the box is opened anyway. Time is valuable...and days off deserve to be enjoyed! Time...don't blow it beating down strangers during some silly "limited time" sale.
Tomorrow, 2-Old and I are getting together for some rest, relaxation, riding, and story trading. It is going to be great. I get to hear about the genesis of his new Ti Custom, and he gets to watch me listen to him (I have nothing exciting to share).
I hope we can get out for some serious shredding (that is cool-talk for MTB riding with hopefully no crashes).
Please support your local economy, but not today...get out and enjoy nature and its beauty....Mama-nature is good...so good that she does not need marketing hype. Nature does not need to hold one day sales (starting at some stupid hour), there is a steady stream of great stuff out there all the time...and you can see a lot of it from the seat of your bike, and it won't cost you a dime.
