Back from the road

Now that I'm back, it's time to hit the road again. Sunday I hit the road, quite literally, at Froze Toes**; and Monday I hit the road in a figurative sense. Yet another business trip.

It's good to be back too. The hotel I stayed at this time had only one of those lounge chair bikes. I opted for the elliptical trainer instead. I doubt it did me much good aside from relieving the stress of a hard day's work.

** By the way, even though I crashed and nearly tore a spoke out of my front Ksyrium I still managed a top ten finish. Hey, sometimes you have to celebrate life's little victories wherever you can find them. :) I wish I'd taken a picture of that spoke before I dropped it off to be repaired. It's bent in three places. But it's bent the hard way against the bladed cross section. In addition, the Aluminum stretched and sheared at the nipple end of the spoke. It tore the side out of the nipple. Yet it still held fast, which was probably too bad because that mangled spoke pulled the wheel so far out of true it wouldn't rotate past that point, even with the calipers fully released. Maybe Ksyriums are too bomb proof.
