Wow. I'm just about completely drained. A day like today, after what we've been through here in the last few days is almost too much to take. Spectacular is a near miss. Incredible, getting close. Today had nearly everything going for it, brilliant blue skies, warm temperatures and vibrant fall colors. Next to all that the stiff breeze was no trouble at all.

Yes, I got out on the road for my ride today. I can hardly remember anything about it except that I stopped what seemed like every few feet to take another picture. Fortunately people in cars were just as psycho about the fall colors as I was so nobody seemed to mind the bicycle rider stopping and turning around to get in position for the shot. Some drivers were even worse. I saw u-turns - more like 3-point turns - in the middle of the road this afternoon. Nobody seemed to mind though. On a day like this who could find fault with that?

Rather than go on and on about the weather here - this is a bicycling blog after all - I'll let some of the photos I took today do it for me. If you want cycling stuff, sorry. Maybe I'll have a look at my power file in the morning.
