
I don't know where I got the idea for this litle gem. I suppose my mind was thinking 2x20 intervals and base work all at once. Of course they don't really go together, right?
Not only that, but when you mash them together you end up with a pretty mundane workout. Something like 60-70 TSS points is all you get out of a workout like that. Hard to call that base. It's hard to call that much of anything.
That is, unless you add a third 20. That's better. Triple TSS digits. Call it a 3x20 if you will. But it's a misnomer. The whole thing isn't as hard as a regular season 2x20 interval session.

See the odd thing, and something I didn't expect at all, was how hard I found it to keep the wattages in check. Gotta love this time of year. Suffering is bad. Slacking is good, as long as you do it in sufficient quantities.
