Route: Around Queeny Park
Time: About an hour
Today started with me meeting Joe, a friend of Boz's, at the parking lot of The Cyclery. Joe was selling his Giant Anthem mountain bike to Boz. I was middle-manning the deal, delivering the payment and bringing the bike to work for the handoff. After we dropped the bike off at Ballwin Cycles (the rear wheel wobbled), we went to lunch at the Lone Wolf, Boz's treat.
I had a commitment in downtown St. Louis that night, so to kill time, I decided I'd ride Queeny Park after work. Boz agreed to meet me, so we met up at 4:30 at the Dog Museum and did some loops around the park. I was riding the cyclocross bike Boz had built for me. (My chain needed oil and chirped like a flock of parakeets.) Boz rode his single-speed Niner with the big fat tires. The trails were wet and sloppy in places, but definitely ride-able.
After about an hour, Boz headed for home, and I headed for my commitment downtown. In all, a good day. The only way it could've been better would have been if that sweet Giant Anthem had been going home with me.
