I still refuse to work really hard in a trainer session this year. Not yet. Not ever, this year, if I can help it.
I've done so many miles indoors this year. It's got to be some kind of record for me. The only protest I have for it is a steadfast refusal to crank up the intensity.
OK maybe just a little, just for fun, to kill the monotony. Short bits. Not long enough to even hurt. You gotta have a little fun.
Not today though. Today I did another - yes another - set of long intervals. Two of them, 30 minutes long. They'd be really boring except for that nice, slow build from start to finish. That, friends, is exciting.
Not buying it....
You're gearing up for the Wed nite TT series and we're onto you. ;-) I, on the other hand, have trained on consecutive days for the first time in 2010.
That's what 1x20's are for
I think the series will be on the same course this year as last, so that'd make the case for 1x20 intervals. That sounds painful.
Up to 2 consecutive days? I have you beat. I'm up to three. That seems to be the emerging pattern for me. Three and a day of something else. Maybe when the weather improves I'll be able to add a 4th. Mostly after 3 these days I just can't stand the thought of one more day going nowhere.
so, you didn't say no
So I guess you are planning on them. ;-)
Maybe, I'll drag the bike up there and assess fitness against last year. This won't be pretty, but neither am I.
Oh yeah
Oh absolutely. I plan to be there for the entire series. There's no better training for timetrialing than timetrialing.
Good thinking. You already have the bike so you might as well use it as a training and assessment tool. Plus, training races are FUN.
