Time for more recovery. Large doses of it broken up only by a few intense working sessions from time to time. I'm off on yet another business trip.
And just when I'd managed to get TSB back into negative territory too. The last few days I figured I'd knock myself out training and see if I could knock 30 or so TSB points off the top, maybe even push it into negative territory. I calculated that it would only take two or three really good and hard workouts to drive TSB into the negative. I found that it can really be painful to do that. I managed to get it to -1 before boarding my plane.
By the time I get home again TSB will once again be flying high.
I wonder how many times I can do this before Functional Threshold Power drops noticeably. It's bound to happen. These little mini-tapers have to be adding up to the equivalent of a season-end blaze of glory peak. The only difference is mine is spread out over a month or so, diluted. Like yesterday's Gatorade.
