This is an update to Andy's comment about torque analysis on my SRM Powercontrol with the Online option...
Despite my best efforts, I could not get the Torque Analysis software to recognize my Powercontrol. The software is a simple DOS .exe file which uses a plain text configuration file. The configuration file must contain the right parameters to correspond to the system the .exe will run on.
The parameter for port number, I'm fairly sure I had that one right. The one that threw me was the one for processor speed. My best guess is that parameter is used as a divisor against processor clock speed and uses the quotient to get its 200Hz 'beat'. There is no documentation to speak of and my processor is possibly orders of magnitude faster than those this software was designed to run on. I did a little math, tried a couple of possibilities and failed to ever see anything but the full-screen DOS chart the software draws. At least that part worked.
So it's possible my SRM Powercontrol has the Torque Analysis function and I just don't know how to configure the software to make use of it. It is also possible my SRM Powercontrol does not have the Torque Analysis function at all. Unless and until SRM writes some better code, it will remain a mystery to me.
yup... the latter
